Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Surpasses One Billion Hours Played

Oh how we love when studios decide to release information about just how successful their games are, don’t we? In the case of Minecraft, though, it is easy to turn away and enjoy it. Minecraft is one of those games that seems to transcend the normal “gamer” boundaries and appeal to just about everyone. That is why this latest number released about Minecraft isn’t all that shocking, especially on the Xbox 360 Edition.

Since its launch last year, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has helped to dominate Xbox Live as one of the most-played games without fail. Tons and tons of gamers have purchased Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and it doesn’t look like it will slow down any time soon. So the cool number released today is that players have logged over one billion hours on the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft. Now if only 4J Studios could fix that silly lighting bug that they introduced and we all could get back to mining.

ExoticWolfs I played about 999 million hours. :P But this doesn't surprise me at all, very addicting and fun. :)


I've played about that much on the PC version, but not too much on the Xbox version.

I knew a lot of people play this game on the 360 but, wow.

well that's an arcade game and cod is filled with 12 year olds and the game has gone downhill after mw2


CoD hasn't gone downhill at all, maybe you don't like it.


CoD "has" gone downhill. If you ask any unbiased person who has played since the beginning then the majority of them will agree that it's not getting any better. What ever though. This post is on Minecraft, lets try and keep it that way so we don't have a rage fest :)
