Anonymous not involved in Xbox Live downtime, Microsoft responds.

Xbox live went down yesterday for quite sometime and nobody could sign into their Xbox live accounts at all and people start getting a bit worried when the Xbox Live service status page does not give you a lot of information and when the outage was quite a large one as the service was down for a few hours.

Some people have jumped to the conclusion that Anonymous hacked Xbox live due to their high profile attacks. However, YourAnonNews has reached out on Twitter to clear up the confusion and claims that Anonymous did not take down Xbox Live and they had nothing to do with the service being offline for so long.

a Microsoft representative informed gameinformer that the outage was due to routine maintenance. Some individuals had claimed that hacking brought the service down yesterday. Microsoft assures us that this is false.

If you weren't so ignorant you'd know that anyone can become and Anon by just saying so and going with what they represent. Anonymous consists of hackers or even just regular protesters who've had enough. They have no reason to hit Xbox afaik
