Anonymous not involved in Xbox Live downtime, Microsoft responds.

Xbox live went down yesterday for quite sometime and nobody could sign into their Xbox live accounts at all and people start getting a bit worried when the Xbox Live service status page does not give you a lot of information and when the outage was quite a large one as the service was down for a few hours.

Some people have jumped to the conclusion that Anonymous hacked Xbox live due to their high profile attacks. However, YourAnonNews has reached out on Twitter to clear up the confusion and claims that Anonymous did not take down Xbox Live and they had nothing to do with the service being offline for so long.

a Microsoft representative informed gameinformer that the outage was due to routine maintenance. Some individuals had claimed that hacking brought the service down yesterday. Microsoft assures us that this is false.

It isn't months for every update. It is 1-2 days, I don't care if it is because I can do other things.

I wasn't talking about an update, I was talking about when psn got hacked it was down months. I'm sure if xbox live was ever hacked the service would be up and running in hours. I'm not a fanboy I own both consoles but what I did do is state fact's. Also if you don't sign into psn a few day's before maitnence you're not going to be able to sign in all day I know from experience. The most time I can remember Xbox being down for me was 24 hours which we were notified of and I only remember it happening once.And I have been on live for 7 year's.

damn now why dont both of you shut up and hug it out now

i have had 1 issue about comparing GS with friends there game wont pop up yet my friends have had some sending message problems and siging in problems but for the last 3 days every things ok for me i havent had major problems
