Elden Ring Streamer Beats DLC With Just Her Voice

3.8
In another episode of FromSoftware enthusiasts finding increasingly creative ways to tackle Soulsborne video games, a Vtuber managed to complete the recently released Shadow of the Erdtree DLC with just her voice. No, we aren't joking. While many have struggled to complete Elden Ring with a controller, and even more have struggled with the recently released DLC expansion, Larxa made quick work of it all with some simple words.

Taking to Twitter, Larxa shared the video of her completing the Promised Consort Radahn fight. In it, you can hear her using words like "Morb," "Dodge" and "Mama" to complete in-game actions. Those words translate into actual actions that would otherwise be completed with a controller or mouse and keyboard combo. It's a fascinating look at how simple words can translate into in-game prompts. And not just the actions themselves, but successful ones at that.

Prior to Larxa's success, Twitch streamer MissMikkaa took on the base game with one hand and even one finger, then did so with a dancepad. Recently, they were able to beat Messmer twice at the same time. At one end, they utilized the signature dancepad on PC and, at the same time, utilized a controller to complete the same boss fight via PS5. It's an insane feat on its own to beat the DLC, an even crazier one to do it with a dancepad and words can't even describe how wild it is to do it twice at the same time with two different methods.

It's all part of a long tradition of FromSoftware enthusiasts finding increasingly creative ways to tackle these legendarily difficult titles. In the past, content creators have imposed all sorts of crazy stipulations, including a RingFit controller and guitars, as well as Twitch chat. One streamer even managed to beat Dark Souls 3 utilizing a banana. We aren't joking.

Because while these games are notoriously difficult and oftentimes frustrating, there is a beauty to being able to overcome failure and triumph over a boss or area. And that beauty has allowed many creators to want to try their hand at different methods. It isn't so much bragging about how good they are as it is celebrating the power of community and creativity. Cheers on a good run, Larxa.
