Halo Infinite Players Criticise The Lack Of New Weapons And Vehicles

0
The Halo Infinite community has been busy discussing the game's future lately, and despite the announcement of the next operation, the fans wanted certain elements updated. The 2021 shooter has been a little stale lately, even though the Call of Duty Zombies mode breathed some energy into gameplay. Still, the upcoming Operation Fleetcom should give players a new, exciting endeavor.

Another game that’s had a hard time staying fresh in the minds of space explorers is Bethesda’s Starfield, and one Halo Armor Collection mod offered something to keep the community’s spirits high. 343 Industries also has several projects in the pipeline with a team of new developers at the helm to take the franchise to new heights.

343 recently announced Operation: Fleetcom on Halo Waypoint, which is due to begin on July 30, 2024. This wave offers the return of VIP and Headhunter, in addition to Sandbox, Forge, and Quality of Life updates.

The Halo Infinite player pool became restless with the lack of new announcements from the studio, especially since the previous Operation, Anvil, is due to end on Fleetcom’s start date. However, several insiders predicted an announcement would come before that campaign ended, and the rumors were true.

The community highlighted the appearance of the Haunted Pilot helmet in the Fleetcom announcement, as well as the presence of operators and military police. Others were hopeful an Operator helmet was also going to be included in the update, but most fans were frustrated after failing to receive new weapons and vehicles.

The consensus from fans read “And still nothing new about weapons and vehicles…This game is a joke,” and “I’m so mad in a game called Infinite they got the most limited weapon selection in the series.” Some players even guessed there were no updates to this particular area, saying “Let me guess no new weapons or vehicles?”

More criticism was thrown towards the cost of helmets and bundles and an outdated UI, as well as a lack of campaign content and new maps. Additionally, some people thought “sandbox updates” were referring to weapon balance changes only.

It should be noted that VIP mode will be added to Halo Infinite’s matchmaking on July 30, followed by the arrival of Headhunter around the midway point of the Fleetcom update.
