Xbox has shared a roadmap of its upcoming first-party games and expansions releasing in the final stretch of 2024 as well as titles that are scheduled for release in 2025. There are some concerns among the Xbox community about the company releasing more of its games on competing platforms and continuously declining hardware sales, but Xbox itself continues to acquire new studios and invest heavily in game development.

Xbox's acquisitions and investments have started to really pay off these last couple of years, securing the green brand major exclusives. Xbox is looking to keep its momentum going strong for the end of 2024, putting out a roadmap showcasing all the new first-party Xbox games that are on deck.

The Xbox first-party games highlighted in the new roadmap begin with World of Warcraft's The War Within expansion, set to launch on August 26. Next up is Age of Mythology: Retold, releasing on September 4, followed by Ara: History Untold on September 24, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred on October 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on November 19. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Towerborne are both set to release in 2024 as well, but they are missing specific release dates at the time of this writing.

As far as 2025 goes, Xbox gamers have Avowed to look forward to on February 18, while South of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Fable are all set for unspecified dates next year. Avowed, South of Midnight, and Fable are all expected to be Xbox console exclusives, but Doom: The Dark Ages will be a multi-platform release.

Most of the titles mentioned by Xbox in its roadmap are full-length releases, but it has also decided to highlight some expansions that are on the way, like The War Within, Shattered Space, and Vessel of Hatred. While most of the games listed on the roadmap are also coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, gamers interested in these expansions will have to pay for them separately.
