Marvel Rivals has publicly revealed the identities of all the players banned during the beta. Announced in March this year, Marvel Rivals is being developed by NetEase, which previously worked on games like Marvel Super War and Marvel Duel. To give a preview of what to expect from the upcoming shooter, the devs have held two test periods, with one having recently closed.

After starting on July 23, the Marvel Rivals closed beta ended on August 5. This time, players from North America, Europe, and Asia tested 20 different heroes, with fan favorites Iron Man and Venom in Marvel Rivals matches. The newest Marvel Rivals test period was available on PC and consoles and included four maps, two based on Yggsgard and two based on Tokyo 2099, as well as the Convoy, Domination, and Convergence game modes. With the end of yet another preview, Marvel Rivals has shared some important information.

In a post on its official Twitter profile, Marvel Rivals revealed the identities of the players banned during the beta. In the tweet, Marvel Rivals confirms that it banned 190 players, showing all the usernames and IDs of the offenders. NetEase also noted that it takes the issue of cheating very seriously and that combating these illegal practices "has always been a top priority" for the devs. Although the Marvel Rivals beta has ended, the devs said they will continue to apply strict anti-cheat measures and encouraged players to report any suspicious activity.

One player said in the tweet comments that they had reported their teammates for auto-locking, and that it mostly happened when these people were playing Marvel Rivals as the Punisher. A second player said they had the same problem with Punisher players, and that it happened again in matches with Hela and Peni Parker. Other comments praised the devs' quick action in issuing the bans, and several Marvel Rivals players expressed astonishment at people who "went so low as to cheat during a game's beta."

Towards the end of the Marvel Rivals beta, NetEase carried out a smaller-scale test with the aim of testing fixes, and the addition of DLSS Frame Generation to the shooter's settings. Now, after the success of the Marvel Rivals closed beta and the good reception from players, they wait for more news from NetEase in the coming months, such as future content, and above all, the highly anticipated release date.
