Some Diablo 4 players are praising the new option to show/hide combat text. The fifth Diablo 4 season is underway, and it has brought many changes to Sanctuary, such as new enemies and activities. Blizzard has also included a range of quality-of-life options, seeking to optimize the experience for Diablo 4 players.

With Diablo 4 Season 5, more classes can use different types of weapons, and weapon affixes were changed to better suit players' characters. Another addition to the new Diablo 4 season allows bosses to be summoned again instead of resetting a dungeon, a feature previously much requested by players. Diablo 4's Treasure Goblins got adjustments, with additional changes covering endgame bosses and Helltides. The new Diablo 4 season has made yet another quality-of-life change that has pleased players.

Diablo 4 players are loving the inclusion of the new "Combat Text Options." As noted by Reddit user Chocookiez, players can now show or hide seven types of combat-related text, like when a Diablo 4 character deals normal or critical damage, whether there are control effects active or defensive actions in a fight. The Diablo 4 player must open the Gameplay tab, then scroll until they find the combat text option, if they wish to activate it.

Previously, Diablo 4 players could only toggle on/off the display of damage counters, not which ones they wanted to see or not see. With the return of Diablo 4's test server for season 5, Blizzard added the combat text option for players to test, receiving positive feedback. Now that this feature is officially available, other Diablo 4 players have shown the same happiness as the OP. One Redditor said they "want to reinstall the game just because of this," while other Diablo 4 players thanked them for letting them know about the new feature.

This feature is particularly divisive, with Diablo 4 players supporting its inclusion to help maximize their builds and rotation. Meanwhile, some players aren't very enthusiastic about a DPS meter in Diablo 4, arguing that the feature would open the door to toxicity, as happened in World of Warcraft. Blizzard has yet to comment on the topic, and Diablo 4 players still wait to find out if it will be added in a future update to the game.
