There’s good news for Dragon Ball video game fans — a new MOBA game based on the franchise is set to release next year.

Titled Dragon Ball: Project Multi, the game was announced last month by Bandai Namco.

Dragon Ball: Project Multi is a four-versus-four MOBA that features various iconic characters from the Dragon Ball series. The game has been undergoing a regional beta test, and now that the test is nearing its end, the developers have announced that the game will officially launch in 2025.

"We sincerely thank everyone for taking part," the game's official X/Twitter account posted (via The Gamer). "All the valuable input we have received from our players will help our development team strive to make the game even more entertaining."



If you’re wondering which characters will be featured in Dragon Ball: Project Multi, you’ll be pleased to know that all the fan-favourites from the series are included.

The trailer from the regional beta test showcases characters like Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Piccolo, Android 18, Buu, Future Trunks, and Zamasu. You can catch a glimpse of their abilities in the trailer above.

One of the standout features of the game that we could see from the trailer is the fast-paced fistfights, a hallmark of Dragon Ball, that take place in the arena.

The game wouldn’t be complete without the signature Super Saiyan charge-ups, which are thankfully present on the battlefield as well.

In keeping with the Dragon Ball lore, one of the objectives in Project Multi seems to be collecting Dragon Balls. This serves as an extra layer of authenticity to the gameplay.

The good news is that fans won’t have to wait too long. Dragon Ball: Project Multi willlaunch next year on Steam and mobile devices.

However, whether the game will be available on consoles is still unclear. If that turns out to be the case, an announcement may come sooner or later.
