Microsoft hasn't yet decided whether it'll introduce the previously rumoured Xbox set-top box, according to Wall Street Journal sources.

It has previously been reported that Microsoft is developing a low-cost alternative to its next-gen Xbox designed to provide streamed access to core entertainment services.
It has been claimed that the device would run on the core components of Windows 8 and support casual games rather than full Xbox ones. WSJ sources said recent prototypes integrated Kinect functionality.

The site also claims that the next-generation Xbox, which is set to be revealed on May 21, will be released in time for the holiday season in time to go head-to-head with PS4.
