Black Ops 6 Reveals All MP Maps and Modes That Will Be at Launch

3.7
Ahead of the game's launch, Activision and Treyarch have revealed every multiplayer map and mode that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will include a whole host of new maps at launch, along with a variety of returning fan-favorite modes like Gunfight and Kill Confirmed.

This past August and September, Call of Duty fans around the world were able to get a preview of what's to come in Black Ops 6 with the early access beta and open beta. Only eight maps were featured in the Black Ops 6 beta, and players also had limited access to the game's arsenal of weapons and gear, including a few Wildcards. As the launch of Black Ops 6 draws near, the developers have revealed all the maps and modes that players can expect in multiplayer on day one.

At launch, Black Ops 6 will have 16 multiplayer maps available in Quick Play, Moshpit, and other playlists. The Babylon, Derelict, Lowtown, Payback, Protocol, Redcard, Rewind, Scud, Skyline, Subsonic, Vault, and Vorkuta maps are designed for 6v6 playlist modes, and Nuketown will be available one week after Black Ops 6's launch on November 1. Four Strike maps will be available at launch as well, including Gala, Pit, Stakeout, and Warhead. These four Strike maps will be playable in 2v2 and 6v6 game modes, with each map emphasizing close-range gunfights due to the very small map size. According to Call of Duty's latest blog post, detailed map information and additional intel will be revealed on October 23, just a few days before the game's launch.

6v6 modes that will be available at launch include Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search & Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Headquarters, Kill Order, and Control. Free-For-All and Gunfight will be the sole eight-player and 2v2 modes, respectively. 6v6 maps will be available in most of the playlists, including the returning Moshpit playlist. Moreover, Face Off versions of Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Order, and Kill Confirmed will be available on day one, and Hardcore versions of 6v6 modes will be available, with Headquarters and Control being the only exceptions. In multiplayer, players also have access to the Training Course, the returning Firing Range mode, Private Matches, and Theater Mode. It's worth noting that Black Ops 6's Theater Mode will be unavailable in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

Additionally, more maps and modes will be added to Black Ops 6 during the preseason and Season 1, including the aforementioned Nuketown. It's unclear whether big team modes like Ground War will return, as most of the maps in Black Ops 6 are small to medium-sized three-lane maps. If Ground War were to return at a later date, it would likely feature all-new maps.
