Hogwarts Legacy ended 2023 as the year’s best-selling game, and the open world action RPG has continued to sell at a steady pace in 2024 as well.

WB Games has revealed via a Variety report that Hogwarts Legacy has sold over 30 million units worldwide as of October. The open world action RPG’s sales stood at 24 million units as of the end of January, which means it has sold an additional 6 million units since then, indicating impressive momentum for sales even now, well over a year and a half on from launch.

Developer Avalanche Software is working on a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, it has been confirmed, and the game will feature narrative ties to HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series.

Meanwhile, leaks have also claimed that a Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is in the works and due out in 2025, boasting 10-15 hours of new content.

Hogwarts Legacy is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
