Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is set to begin sometime in "early January 2025." We're expecting a new slew of heroes to come along with it, and according to a recent build leak, we're getting a hint at what we could be in store for.

We've already seen leaks for heroes like Human Torch and Ultron. A new one from X0XLEAK on X, formerly known as Twitter, reveals seven new heroes, plus three maps, team-up abilities, and more.

The following heroes were discovered in the Marvel Rivals launch build leak:

Angela
Deadpool
Captain Marvel
Hit-Monkey
Emma Frost
Phoenix/Jean Grey
Modok

Combined with Human Torch, Ultron, Blade, The Thing, and Mr. Fantastic, at least 12 leaked characters are coming to Marvel Rivals in the future. We can speculate that these will be a good mix of Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists without knowing too much about their abilities. Given the importance of the game's hero balance, having all three roles be well represented in future updates is key to maintaining a healthy meta.

One of the hallmark features of Marvel Rivals is the Team-Up Abilities. It's no surprise that a new batch of heroes means a new round of abilities, but some of the leaks include abilities for heroes already in the game.

Storm and Human Torch
Wolverine and The Thing and Hulk
Wolverine and Pheonix
Wolverine and Magik and Psylocke and Black Panther (this may have been scrapped)

Emma Frost and unknown

Team-Up Abilities are a breath of fresh air that not only encourages synergistic hero selection but can also buff certain heroes. Seeing heroes, both new and old, get new team-ups is incredibly exciting.
