A new leak suggests that the Nintendo Switch 2 might come with an orange Joy-Con, which is something not many might've expected. Apart from the surprising color change of one of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons from red to orange, the leaked picture also shows a layout change.

Nintendo has employed an intriguing approach with the Switch 2. While Nintendo has reiterated time and again that the Switch 2 will be revealed before March 2025, there has been barely any buildup around the console's reveal. In fact, at some point, fans also started speculating that the console would be delayed altogether. However, there has been a lot of unofficial information trickling in the last few days. From some Nintendo Switch 2 accessories to technical specifications, leakers have left no stone unturned in revealing various aspects of the console. Fans are quite keen to learn more about the console's design, and a new leak suggests some significant changes are on the way.

In a new tweet, popular leaker NextHandheld reveals some interesting details about the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Cons. They allegedly posted a new leaked picture of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons, which showcases a new color, orange. While that's quite surprising in itself, another really notable aspect of the picture is that the Joy-Cons are not entirely orange. That is, the place where the buttons are located is black, and the side of the Joy-Con is actually orange.

While leaks have suggested that the overall design of the Nintendo Switch 2 might be quite similar to the Switch, the same isn't the case for the Joy-Cons. If leaks are to be believed, the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Cons will be getting rid of the slider design and will adopt a magnetic technology to attach to the tablet.

So far, Nintendo hasn't announced the official release date for the Switch 2. However, leaks suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 could be revealed on January 8. Whether Nintendo actually reveals something on that day is something only time will tell. One thing is for sure, at the pace leaks are coming in the past few weeks, it seems like a reveal isn't that far away.
