E3 2013: Microsoft Reveals Xbox One Accessories

Following the Xbox event, Microsoft has released new accessories such as the new mic, charge and play kit, and new 3rd party headsets that have been made for you pro gamers. Here is some info on each.

Xbox One Headset - The Xbox One headset has a new cleaner look to it than the Xbox 360. It also has the new 3.0 headset jack. With this headset jack, it will make more 3rd party headsets available for use.

Play and charge kits - The new Charge and play kit has a new and improved cable and adapts to the new flat battery pack on the Xbox One controller.

3rd party headsets - Turtle Beach, Polk Audio, and Mad Catz have all taken place in making new headsets for the Xbox One. Many of the looks and have been designed to fit the appearance of the Xbox One console itself.

Finder I wonder if headsets that work for the Xbox 360 will work for the Xbox One.

I will be upset if I have to buy a $100 headset along the the $500 console.


I read somewhere that they wont. I hope that i am wrong but I'm not entirely sure.


You're right, all headsets for the Xbox 360 are not compatible with the Xbox One :/

I don't particularly like the new headsets, but I've never been a fan of the stock headsets. I don't think I'd buy a Turtle Beach or any 3rd party headest for a while. But I'm hoping my current wireless mic works, because they've not crossed out wireless yet.

They have already said old headsets will not work for the xbox one :(

I hope the standard headset is good, I will be getting a better one anyway, but for the mean time I will use the standard.
