Save transfers might not be cross platform for Minecraft

Microsoft's Phil Spencer has been doing many interviews the past couple of days with companies. When companies asked if Minecraft worlds and saves will be cross platformed, Spencer said that there is no word on it yet. This means that not only do you have to re-buy the game, but you also might have to start your worlds over again. this has made some Minecraft users heated

Spencer also stated that with the new console there might be issues porting over the saves.

Microsoft just keeps putting themselves down with these things, I'm seriously considering switching to the PlayStation 4 and just starting over.

ZE_BLUEZ Im not saying any console is better but have you guys seen how bad thier both making the gaming popularity drop dramaticly. Im sorry but xbox one sounds like a good console and most of its problems are not really problems if you ask me. But just a quick question who is getting the ps4 or the Xbox one?


I'm still undecided with which console I will be getting. I have more time put into by Xbox 360 profile and wouldn't really want to restart on a different console, but I feel the PS4 has a little more freedom to it. I'll probably decide soon but until then I'm undecided on which console will be better for me.

Its because of the architecture of the system. They are completely changing it and everything isn't going to be compatible. Just as playing games from the 360 is not possible because of the same reason.

Microsoft might be getting rid of the whole thing where you can transfer your profile and content onto a USB and download stuff on a USB and put it on the Xbox One. Like if you were to download a map, put it on a USB then put in on your profile on Xbox One, that might not work if they decide to not include that feature.
