Modern Warfare 2 players report matchmaking malfunction

Now that the exploding men and unrelenting rain of crates have been taken care of, it would seem a new issue has arisen in Modern Warfare 2. Specifically, a bug in the Xbox Live matchmaking assignments is reportedly dumping playlist searchers into private matches. (Nothing's worse than being teamed with the lowest ranking players, after all.)

Penny Arcade's Gabe tweeted (warning: foul language through link) that he had encountered the issue several times. Meanwhile, Infinity Ward's man in the trenches, Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling, confirmed the issue is known and that a fix is currently in the works.

I like the private match thing becuase i get a lot of kills and a big match bonus

We should have somekind of system to stop the leakers from doing this. There is definatley someone on TTG who is from IW,they're probs a gold member too so they can see how the glitches are done.

This is all because some idiots decide to not change join session allowed to off just so they can have loads of people on rust. People should have always made sure join session was OFF

agreed with poster above me

its also affecting how fast you can actually get into a non-glitched match

since there's all these servers that are only ment for 6v6, and they cant handle 9v9, so its making all the other servers suck

it's about time they start doing something, it is almost getting annoying, every time you click ground war or domination you are thrown into a glitched lobby. It's even starting to happen on SnD. People are glitching SnD so that there are 18 people in a game, which is really annoying because all tactics are gone and there is a lot of lag. It is beginning to ruin the game, long story short.
