Assassin's Creed 4 confirmed for PS4, Xbox One launches

When the PS4 and Xbox One wash up on the shores of retailers, one bit of available booty for both will be Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. At E3, game director Ashraf Ismail told ElderGeek the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the new Creed will be "launch titles" on both.

Ismail also noted the PC version was due "a few weeks" after the current-gen console release date of October 29, although he added that he wasn't sure on that. A slight delay on PC would follow the pattern of Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3, as well as Ubisoft's time-honored tradition.

E3 also saw Sony announce exclusive PS3 and PS4 content for Assassin's Creed 4 that is set around the Aveline character from Vita entry Liberation.

I probably won't either seeing as the last Assassin's Creed game I bought was Assassin's Creed Revelations.

Frog They should release it for both new and old gen consoles... Not everybody will be buying new gen consoles straight away.

They are releasing it for both consoles. Both PS3 and PS4 will have this game available to purchase this holiday season.

I cant wait for this game, kind of annoying that Desmond's fate was undecided, it was never clear if he actually died, we will probably take control of his father.

No it's gotten repetitive to me. It was good up to Assassin's Creed Revelations but now I'm not really into it anymore.
