Xbox promo allows players to obtain unlimited Microsoft Point codes

Halifax based Scotiabank is running a promotion that rewards Canadian players with free Microsoft Points just for watching a quick video advertisement. The promotion is limited to one use per Xbox Live account, however, we have found that simply creating a new account allows you to complete the promotion again.

Follow these simple instructions to redeem your free Microsoft Points.

1. Create a new Xbox Live Silver account. If you're not Canadian, you will need to change your locale. Your locale can be changed through System Settings -> Console Settings -> Language & Locale -> Locale -> Canada.

2. On the dashboard, scroll to the "TV & Movies" section, and select the Scotiabank promotional banner.

3. Watch the video until it ends, and the first code for 100 Microsoft Points will appear.

4. Select "Get Points" from the white banner below, and you will be asked to enter your email address for another 100 Microsoft Points.

5. Enjoy your free Microsoft points

This process can be repeated multiple times, however, you will need to create a new Xbox Live account for every 200 Points you wish to redeem.

The Scotiabank promotion only keeps 11,500 codes in stock, so get them while they last!

Promo or not people still exploited it. Some did more than others but I'm sure the ones who went crazy with it will be banned or have their MSP reset or something.


I guarantee no will get banned for this. You guys don't understand how these promos work do you? This is advertising for them. They already payed for the MS points. It's not like MS is losing money here. They don't care who gets the points. It's up to the company how they distribute them. Also there has been these type of things in the past. 2-3 years ago there was a really big one where I got over 2000. This one today I got 600. There is no chance of anyone getting banned for this.

I'm pretty sure that they will ban you.


They will probably ban the people that exploited it the most like the ones that got 10k Microsoft Points of it, maybe the ones that only got 300 or so wont be noticed.


Yeah. If someone simply used it to get 100-1000 Microsoft points do not have a large chance of getting banned in my opinion. It's more the ones to used it to get 3000-15000+ who are running a high ban chance


I would say 4000msp cuz you can buy that in de shop so i would say 4000msp.


I think that users will know when they have too much Microsoft points out of common sense.
