Call of Duty: Ghosts gets rickety skyscraper as pre-order bonus

It's preemptive business as usual with Call of Duty: Ghosts, which now boasts a pre-order incentive in the form of a multiplayer map. Dubbed "Free Fall," the freebie environment is meant to reflect the dynamic events that characterize and alter the environments in this iteration of Call of Duty's multiplayer suite.

Taking place in the halls of a skyscraper on the verge of collapse, Free Fall represents "just one of the many new approaches we're putting into Ghosts' multiplayer across the board," says Executive Producer Mark Rubin. "There's so much more that we look forward to sharing in the weeks to come."

The weeks to come – between now and the game's PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launch on November 5 – will likely be spent cleaning up the wide-scale urban damage left after Activision's skyscraper motion-capture session.

I don't even think I will get Ghosts, after MW2, I haven't really enjoyed any of them. To me, all their games after MW2 haven't been that good. So i won't be getting this until I see some actual gameplay from YouTubers and what not, then I will see.

bf : same as cod really
halo : different guns map ect
that's what happens its what they do its based on the same cod every year init?


Tell me where battlefield is same as cod, battlefield started 2 years before cod -_-

I love how they come out with this. Its like they think people will dump the idea of getting BF4 to play this "oh look we have falling buildings as well". I am waiting until release date before i make a decision to buy either console so i cant really pre-order yet.

Theyre going to release this map to the public anyways so why does it matter if you preorder it or not?

I don't see a real hurry in going out and pre-ordering this as more then likely as they did with Nuketown 2025, will release this DLC a month or two later for free. It will be cool to see what other preorder incentives we get.

Definitely, they are trying to compete and become the most pre-ordered game now that Battlefield 4 is the most pre-ordered game for the next-gen consoles.

Unless they re-make the whole game they can't really change it. Now I know it's not out yet at all but if Battlefield 4 is the most pre-ordered that shows that people aren't interested in COD anymore or a lot of people think it's the same as the last ones. People might get something good from COD, but we'll have to wait and see.


ShadowBolt that is not at all what that means. You have to realize that BF has more people that like to play it more than cod, by that I don't mean amount of people I mean the places it is popular. However cod is lacking one that BF has which is PC. That can add up to hundreds of thousands of extra pre-orders that COD simply will not get.

I like cod and BF so I pre-order both, but does that mean because I pre-ordered BF that I hate COD? No it just means I like to play FPS games.


Battlefield 4 is the most pre-ordered for next-gen consoles. PC doesn't count as a console so the PC pre-orders are completely different from the next-gen console pre-orders. I never said that people who pre-ordered Battlefield 4 hate COD, I simply said people might be getting bored with COD or may want to move away from it, nothing wrong with that just as people will move between games all the time.
