Assassin's Creed 2 next in Xbox free games lineup

Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb confirmed this morning that Assassin's Creed 2 is the next free title in the Xbox "Games With Gold" Program. That means the Italiano assassino romp will be available for all those gratis stabs and requiescat en paces on July 16.

Announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference, the "Games with Gold" program highlighted Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3 on stage. After a little clarification, it turned out those two titles wouldn't be the first two games due in July. Defense Grid: The Awakening is currently free, with Ezio's exploits up next. There is no announced window for Halo 3 going free at this time.

RockstarGames Looking foreword to playing this game, looks good. I have never played assasians creed before.


It's best to play the games in order as knowing what Desmond does is important, although in Assassins Creed 1, you're just trapped in a large white room, but the ending is important.

Such a great game, start of the Ezio trilogy too, enjoy it guys, nothing better than Assassins Creed's campaign

WTF this is bs this is the best they can do happy wars and assassins creed 2?I mean come on iv been with xbox sence day one but look at the facts ps3 when you sign up for psn you get 18 free to play games like bf3 saints row the third and many others that is y i am going to ps4.PS i know the controler sucks for the ps3.

I agree, PS got a great game. I am glad we are getting this game, it isn't bad at all.


I've noticed some people complaining about how this is an old game but in my opinion it's all about the quality. Assassins Creed 2 is an excellent game which will give the player 30 hours at least

MTD I never tried the Assassins Creed series so I'll give it a go when I get.


I played them all up to Assassin's Creed: Revelations, after that I stopped. I would like to play Assassin's Creed 2 again so I might download this.

I agree, PS got a great game. I am glad we are getting this game, it isn't bad at all.
