FIFA 14 – next-gen features discussed in video interview

FIFA 14′s next gen versions will be heading to PS4 and Xbox One, both running on the EA Sports Ignite engine. Producer Nick Channon tells VG247 what to expect from the new tech.

The next-gen version of FIFA was playable on the show floor for E3 attendees – sadly it was strictly a no-filming scenario in there but if you squint a bit, you’ll be able to make out a few clips of gameplay. The game’s new camera is radically different from anything we’ve seen before in FIFA.

More importantly, the game runs at a smooth 60fps and makes a huge impact to how it plays. Hopefully EA will release some gameplay soon.

Next-gen FIFA will release when the PS4 and Xbox One ships.

I like gameplay and the graphics are great

Because it makes the game feel more real. Like you're actually there, also why wouldn't you want a better crowd over a wallpaper lol.

This, and the fact that having to look at 2D cardboard sprites doing the same thing all of the time is extremely unpleasant.

I find it hilarious how may people say, "They never improve fifa, they just resell the same game" etc. I guarantee you that all the people saying this will still buy the game anyway, this fifa however does seem to be improved a lot at a first glance tho due to the things the XBOX One and PS4 allow the developers to do with the game, and finally, we may actually be getting a 3D crowd haha, horray!

Anticipate Fifa is always reused because they know the game will get bought anyway.

They always change stuff a bit on it, just like CoD, if it sells, why not? It isn't a bad game at all, very enjoyable.
