Updated: Xbox Live Down, Microsoft Investigating (Its Up!)

If you're having trouble signing onto Xbox Live, you are not alone. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is "actively investigating," according to the official Xbox Support Twitter account. The Xbox Live status page at the time of writing does not report any issues.

Some of the reported issues from our forum include freezing when sending invites and being unable to sign back on.

UPDATE 1: Xbox Live status has updated with the below info.

Xbox servers are messing up for some people, I still haven't had any problems. I can connect to online, join xbl parties, send messages. Maybe they fixed it or its just in certain areas?

Calm down. It's for a very short time, PlayStation users had been down for 2 months and I didn't hear a single complaint from them. The people of this generation just complain way too much. I went to Africa recently and the kids there were very happy, with barely anything to keep them alive. Here in America we can't stop complaining because Xbox Live has been down for 5 hours. Sometimes people make no sense to me.


Stop with your hippie ******** we can't help everyone get over yourself, but this is still annoying I was trying to enjoy myself. And I'm grateful for everything I have thank you very much.


It is good that you are grateful for what you have! I am no hippie though, just a person who despises unneeded hatred. Yes I know that we can't help everyone but that was not what I was talking about at all, but I see where you get that from, I was saying that there are so many unneeded complaints when, instead, we can just deal with the problem and forget about it. We can move on instead of creating drama.
