Rockstar job listing tips GTA 5 PC port

Rockstar is unwilling to discuss the prospect of bringing Grand Theft Auto 5 to PC, but a recent job listing hints at the firm working on a port.

A recently-posted job listing for Rockstar Leeds called for a 'graphic programmer' that would work to "help bring our latest titles to the PC platform".

Perhaps even more interestingly, the vacancy post has been swiftly removed by Rockstar, but not before PC Gamer grabbed the full description, which read:

"Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio's uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible."

The firm's "latest titles" that are yet to appear on PC include GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption - the latter of which is now over three years old, and would seem the less likely candidate for a PC port in 2013.

According to the post, the position would also require "working with skilled developers on Next Generation games", which is another area the firm has avoided discussing with regards to GTA 5.

In a recent Q&A, Rockstar said, "We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."

Despite this, a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 was listed by the German arm of Amazon, as well as a second European retailer.

The GTA 5 release date has been confirmed as September 17 worldwide.

Rockstar released the first GTA 5 gameplay video earlier today, offering he first glimpse of both single and multiplayer gameplay.

Metro you can stop your retarded argument, the console edition will always be able to be modded its just games work. Also PC mods rarely come to console.

Most likely to pc yeah but next gen has been confirmed to not have a release due to GTA V being made specifically for this gen, next gen would make no difference graphically or otherwise.

the "mods" i get the impression you are thinking of are 12 year olds fapping to lua scripts they copied and pasted from a website...

Mods are user created aspects of a game, in Skyrim for example, there are new houses, areas, mounts, weapons to be downloaded from the skyrim nexus, they often fit into the game as something normal

look at tekkit, that is a compilation of minecraft mods, none of them cause unbalance to the game, they just make it more interesting under what players themselves have created.

i feel what you meant to say was "I hope they canel this, i don't want hackers thank you very much" as modding is just free user made dlc...
