Deus Ex: The Fall jams your gun on jailbroken iOS devices

Those playing Deus Ex: The Fall, which launched for iOS for $6.99, on jailbroken iDevices have found none of their guns work – not even the tranquilizer gun.

The limitation was first outed on Reddit, with many reviews in the App store describing the game's surprise "feature." The prompt above occurs right after the movement tutorial in the game, at the outset of the shooting tutorial.

Jailbreaking refers to the act of unlocking functionality within iOS devices not originally intended for the end user. While not illegal, it does void the warranty of the device in question.

L33t-Ninja-Much kind of ridiculous in my opinion if you void the warranty then thats your responsibility but making it to where a game dont work wtf thats sad in a way


Agreed, I definitely wont be getting this app, even thought I don't have a jailbroken device, I just wont support them


It's more or less the same with me. This will mainly effect people who brought the game legitimately yet had a jailbroken device

-OH-NO- i don't understand why they don't do what they do on android where if in the case of some apps not all, it will check the servers to see if the device has bought it, it works too, i tried to play an app that has this type of security and it kept me from playing and it couldn't be patched by lucky patcher, instead of doing this cause like many people said before some people on jail-broken devices still do buy their apps, so why can;t this be done on IOS ?

Its not illegal. And you can still buy apps when you are jailbroken. It does not mean anything.
