Xbox One supports partial-download play

The Xbox One will allow users to play games while they are being downloaded, a Microsoft representative confirmed with Polygon this week.

Microsoft previously noted that players could begin playing disc-based games during installation, though the company did not specify whether games downloaded from Xbox Live would share similar functionality. Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 supported partial-download play earlier this year.

This is pretty awesome. Totally needed. Too bad the 360 can't do this. Don't get me wrong. I have patience and can wait, but it's so nice and convenient when you don't have to.

Whats the point of this? Are we this impatient that we can't wait for downloads to be complete? and what happens if you come to a part of the game that hasn't been downloaded yet? Will it Crash? These are all important questions that I would love answers to

The playstation 3 already has it thats hows

You can't play the game you are downloading on the PS3. This doesn't mean play another game while downloading a game, you can do that on the 360l.
