Microsoft to offer a year of Xbox Live free to Office 365 subscribers

Microsoft has announced today that it is offering a free year of Xbox Live to Microsoft Office 365 subscribers.


The promotion is available to subscribers who purchase a one year subscription to Office 365 Home Premium, or a four year subscription to Office 365 University.

The offer is valid from today until September 28, and is available to most of Europe, Asia and Australia. Microsoft's website lists the territories where the promotion is available.

To redeem the free year of Xbox Live, users must activate their subscriptions to receive a code, which can be claimed on the Xbox website, or on the console itself. The code must be used before October 31.

According to an updated article on The Verge, the offer is now open to US residents, however Microsoft's site still does not list them as an eligible country.

The point of this special isn't to get people to buy gold.

It's to get people to become a Office 365 subscriber.

Only because the xbox one is coming out so they will get the money back that they lose, they've not changed;)

no but it will make people look into it and promote the service & it will be $60 cheaper than the price listed or whatever
