Xbox One could outship PS4 3-to-1 this year

Robert W. Baird and company analyst Colin Sebastian has stated in his latest investor’s note that Xbox One seems to be riding the momentum train at retail.

Along with topics covering upcoming financial releases such as EA, Take-Two and Activision, Sebastian noted that gutting the DRM policy on the new Microsoft console has done wonders for the upcoming system.

“Despite losing the headline battle at E3, Microsoft’s Xbox One appears to be regaining some momentum, in part due to the used and online policy tweaks,” he wrote. “Importantly, our supply chain checks suggest Microsoft may have the benefit of a 2-3x unit advantage at launch compared to Sony’s PS4.”

The analyst expects both PS4 and Xbox One to have launch shortages and he also noted that Microsoft is “working with channel partners to lessen the gap,” between the consoles’ pricing – there’s a $100 difference between it and PS4.

Sebastian also said he felt Wii U needed a price cut in order to be competitive and “the fate of the platform” rests on Nintendo’s holiday software lineup.

GreyJoy The exact same thing happened when the 360 came out, Xbox has is better with the niche's than sony does and will always sell more.

Sony will own Japan, MS cant do anything about that

By the looks of things all that you ever play is FIFA, some gamer you are. Also, FIFA exclusives mean nothing to gamers, that's actually something for the casual players who own about 5 games and only ever play FIFA and Call of Duty.

To me your just so ignorant. You are complaining because it doesnt appeal to you as the hardcore gamer. Both systems have so close to the same specs that they are almost the same exact system. Just because the xbox aims at a wider audience doesnt mean they dont have a team strictly towards the gaming end of it. Its stupid to say the ps4 is for hardcore gamers when your judging it by the fact that it doesnt give you the OPTION to instantly switch to tv. Its. Feature the xbox implemented to appeal to more people.

I really hate it when people pick out and complain about all of the minor things that I point out, that aren't that bad after all, but ignore the major issues that I talk about because they know I'm right. For example the price tag, barely anybody wants the kinect sensor, and it's not okay to charge extra for it and make it mandatory so that people don't have a choice.

If you'd actually read all of my responses you'd understand that I'd already covered that people should decide for themselves, and that whichever console is superior doesn't matter just buy what you want. I was simply responding to stupid fanboys that think they know best. I consider myself a "Hardcore Gamer", and likely a lot more than you, the Xbox One with it's TV and overpriced Kinect in NO WAY appeals to me as a gamer, you're the one blabbering. Exclusives also mean nothing at the moment, because both Halo and Gears of War are going down the drain at the moment.

just because you play everyday doesnt make you a hardcore gamer...and i meant better exclusives on cross-platform games, like on cod xbox got DLC 1 month earlier, they have an exclusive on FUT 14 on the xbox one, they have exclusive with BF4...thats the stuff i meant, not exclusive games

That's not an opinion whatsoever, you can't have an opinion that voids the possibility of something happening, when it's entirely unpredictable, all fanboys are stupid, it's that simple. If I buy a next generation console I know that it will be the Xbox One, because I have a preference towards the way that the online system works, but I know for a fact that the PlayStation 4 is still superior.

"Xbox will always be better than PlayStation" is an opinion. You saying PlayStation 4 is superior is also an opinion. And, in my opinion, Xbox One, and Xbox in general, will always be more superior to PlayStation 4, and PlayStation in general.

No it's not an opinion, it's a FACT. The value for money is much better, because if you were to buy the PlayStation Eye or whatever seperately it would still be cheaper than the Xbox One, and barely anybody wants to pay extra for the Kinect sensor, the specifications and execution are both slightly superior as always on Sony's part, so it's better in that respect too. The preference in terms of the operating system and the online service is opinion though, because both offer similar services that have their own advantages and disadvantages.

its not a fact, it depends what type of gamer you are, if your a casual gamer the ps4 would be better for the price, if your a hardcore gamer the xbox would be better because of the exclusives they get with cross platform games over the playstation
