White Xbox One dev kit spotted

A picture of a white Xbox One development kit has been leaked to Reddit.

As spotted by Neowin, the unit in question is based around the same form factor and overall design of the console first revealed by Microsoft in May, and offers a peek at what a different colour retail model could look like in the future.

Apparently, the white dev kit is not the most recent version Microsoft has provided to game studios.

A developer reportedly confirmed to be working on an Xbox One game said on Reddit: "The zebra ones were also earlier devkits. We've gone though several revisions since the original alpha kit (giant server case) and the current one we have looks like the launch version."

The black one will blend in with the room better in my opinion. People will eventually adapt to it i guess

I could see them eventually releasing a while model just as they released a black model of the Xbox 360. It would be pretty cool if this was the case

It's a console, it's sad that you're calling it sad, besides you don't buy a console for its appearance, you aren't gonna be staring at it for the next few years.


So what it's a console. How in the world is it sad? If we're paying 500 bucks, they at least can make it not so ugly.
Exactly, I hate when people say "are you really going to be staring at the console". Yes. Yes the hell I am. I will stare at the brand new console I just paid a crap load of money for. The Xbox One is not an eye catcher AT ALL, when you were younger and went to the store did a freakin VCR catch your eye and make you stop walking and say "wow that thing looks awesome" NOOO! To get back on point, looks do mean something to normal consumers and the Xbox One doesn't have them, companies should want a kid to go to the store and see an amazing piece of hardware and it should be unique and "cool" no kid is going to have fond memories of a box, a plain black boring box.


I think that the xbox one looks sleek and nice, it looks like a damn box just like the name says. The console I think looks professional, sleek, and all around nice, I don't want a console that looks like a sports car.
