Xbox One bundles to release in summer 2014 without Kinect – report

Xbox One bundles will be made available in summer 2014 without Kinect, according to an anonymous course speaking with Machinima’s Inside Gaming.

The source told the site there will be two bundles made available: a standard bundle without Kinect, and a budget version containing an Xbox One with a smaller hard drive to undercut the price of PS4.

Inside Gaming notes, rightly, that such a report contradicts Microsoft’s assertion that the console won’t function without Kinect installed. If it will work without the camera, this means the launch bundles are a ploy to get Kinect in the homes of early adopters.

Xbox One will release this November at a price point of around $500 – give or take depending on retailer.

LuckyOtter TTG's news is sometimes pretty awful. I like how the entire article say's MS says this will never happen but TTG just "conveniently" doesn't put that part in. I guess to get people's hopes up. I don't see how you could mess that up. It's pretty much just copying and pasting.

It's sad that this website has to resort to that is what I'm was saying. I would expect this from larger websites creating their own news stories. All TTG does is copy and paste. Which is what I like about TTG because I can get news articles from many places. This wouldn't be as bad if it was just an opinion but it's completely false. MS had already released a statement before this article was posted saying it won't happen. Then they don't even update it when people realize it is wrong. So either TTG staff doesn't care that they posted false info or they don't pay attention to their news section. Either way I'm disappointed.

Dude, I hate to say this but you just got told by an Orlando Magic fan, it's so true what he says. Media is based on manipulation...wouldn't create an effect otherwise.


This is obviously not going to happen because the kinect is so integrated into the xbox one

Dude, I hate to say this but you just got told by an Orlando Magic fan, it's so true what he says. Media is based on manipulation...wouldn't create an effect otherwise.
