Microsoft: 'no plans to release Xbox One without Kinect'
Yesterday, Inside Gaming Daily claimed the company would release an Xbox One sans the 3D camera next summer.
Citing an anonymous source supposedly familiar with the matter, it said: "This contradicts Microsoft's repeated implication that the Xbox One won't function without a Kinect attached, but it's sounding more and more like that's a bit of PR smoke just to get the Kinect in people's homes,"
But in a statement sent to Kotaku, a Microsoft spokesperson said: "We have no plans to introduce an Xbox One without Kinect. We believe in Kinect and the value it brings to both games and entertainment, and believe $499 is a great value for what consumers receive with their Xbox One."
Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox One will be available in 21 markets this November.
The platform holder revealed its next-gen Kinect sensor at E3, when it said: "Its unparalleled vision, motion and voice technology let you reach into games and entertainment like never before by dramatically expanding its field of view and fidelity. It works in nearly any lighting condition, recognizes precise motion control from a slight wrist rotation, and distinguishes your voice even in a noisy room using advanced noise isolation."

Disortspyroboy926did you even ready what you just wrote? microsoft didnt want a steam like console based store. i own a gaming pc and steam doesnt make you do a 24hr check in they are their own entity. before calling someone ignorant which is a very loosely used word to try to insult people, but anyway like i said drm had nothing to do with steam. now come back and talk to me when you have established a argument worth my timeDisorts-DreamDisorts Ok microsoft we get it, you don't care about what the consumer wants its either your way or the highway. A crap console along with a company that has proven themselves to be complete douche bg.
Even though they completely reversed the DRM on their console.
when they shouldnt have even had it in the first place. too little too late.
You seem extremely ignorant. Let's put it this way. The DRM was placed for hopes of a steam like market on a console. At E3, Microsoft did not explain the pros of the DRM policy well and did not even use Steam as an example of the new market. At first, Steam was very hated but now it is loved and a huge market with very nice sales often enough that nobody would complain.
Point 1:
Did YOU read what he wrote?? Note that he says "a Steam like market" and not "a market that is exactly the same as Steam." Sure, Steam doesn't have the 24-hour check. But unless I'm horribly mistaken, Microsoft isn't the one who is going to make the "Steam Box" and they would only use Steam as a reference to show similarities.
Point 2:
When he said "At E3, Microsoft did not explain the pros of the DRM policy well and did not even use Steam as an example of the new market," he was listing them as 2 separate points; not the same one. The way you can tell is the word "and" between the "DRM policy" part and the "Steam" part.
Also, why did you criticize him for insulting the user he quoted, and then go and basically insult him? 2 wrongs doesn't make a right. You could've just said "We don't need to insult one another here" or something similar.
I hope this "established" argument is "worth your time."

-Snowflake I talked to someone who works with programing and virtual gaming. he explained that the Kinect will be essential for the functions on the xbox. right now the original kinect works very well with simple commands and actions. he seems to think the new kinect will be able to do much much more. soon enough we will be playing close combat shooting games with the Kinect. please tell me how thaf is not cool... who wouldnt want tk experience that.
It will be like the movie gamer

Why would people think they would release it without the Kinect after all they've said about it?
