PlayStation 4 friends limit supports up to 2000 friends

It's getting down to the details now as we head closer to the next-gen console launches of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Sony sliding in today that the PS4 will let users have a couple thousand friends on their buddy list.

"The PlayStation 4 has party chat and, I can also tell you, that your PlayStation 4 friends list will let you have up to 2,000 friends," said Hollie Bennett from Access PlayStation in a video released this morning.

Microsoft had previously stated the Xbox One will allow up to a thousand friends.

Honestly who has 2000 friend on the ps3 unless you friend random people. Xbox one has 1000 and that is almost to much but its nice to know that people are ripping their hair out because both consoles are literally the same

Fanboys? I have like 30 friends I properly play with on xbox.. Why on earth would I wanted 2000 spots? 150 is enough. There is no one on earth that would consistently play with more..


Exactly I have 50 friends on xbox 360 but i only play with like 15 friends

Hopefully they will provide an option where you can limit the amount of friends that you have yourself. For example.. Stop getting friend requests once you are at 100 friends yet raise it any time

I think any number is good as long as you can disable friend request because you could set your own limit pretty much. There's nothing worst than random request after a good game.


Well it's always good to not have a limit on the amount of friends you can have, it's only a benefit if you ask me. People could stop adding friends at 100 if they wanted to.

80% of statistics are made up on the spot. I guess that one might be true but either way I don't see very many people filling this up. And the ones that do won't talk to most of them.
