Battlefield 4 video shows off 'Levolution'

Developer DICE has penned the term 'Levolution' to describe the ways in which Battlefield 4 players can change the game's maps during gun fights, as it details in a new video below.

"Levolution in BF4 delivers a dynamic battlefield that reacts to the player's every move to ensures that no two games will ever be the same," says DICE.

At Gamescom this week DICE revealed a new game type, Obliteration, which sees two teams fight to secure a randomly spawned bomb, transport it to the enemy target and detonate it.

You can check out 64-player footage of the mode in action on the stormy seas of the newly revealed Paracel Storm map here.

The publisher has confirmed a Battlefield 4 release date of October 29 in the US and November 1 in the UK on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Next-gen versions will be out "this holiday".

It looks so cool on the video, but I bet when you actually play it, that it isn't so cool. Still a nice idea though :)

Homeland I think people will be put off by the beta. The 360/PS3 version of this will be terrible. Terrible graphics and 12v12 which is horrible for a battlefield game. I'll be playing the beta on PC which is fine but I can imagine a lot of people saying the game is bad just because they played on current gen.


The only bad thing here is you comparing console to pc. EVERYONE knows the difference, EVERYONE expects it to have less features. Saying that you'll beta test the pc version then be disappointed by the console release is just idiotic.

You do realize the Frostbite Engine was created by Dice? The people who make the Battlefield series... If you didn't know that maybe you should have looked it up before commenting since it takes a whole ten seconds to type in frostbite engine into Google.
