Battlefield 4: launch game modes confirmed

Battlefield developer DICE has confirmed the game modes that will ship with Battlefield 4 in November.

In a post on the official Battlefield blog, DICE confirmed that the shooter will launch with seven game modes, two of which are new to the series.

The modes include series regulars like Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, while adding two new game modes.

The new modes include:

Obliteration, where two teams face off on medium-sized battlegrounds where one bomb spawns in a random central location and the goal is to pick up the bomb and arm it at one of the enemy’s three military installations.

Defuse, where players don’t have any re-spawns at all for an even tighter and quicker infantry-only game mode.

DICE also confirmed the game will launch with ten multiplayer maps, and all game modes will be playable on all of them.

Battlefield 4 will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe. PS4 and Xbox One will launch when the consoles drop.

This is great news seeing as I love infantry gameplay, this will force people into playing tactically which should lead to a more realistic experience.

I don't think i will be getting it straight away but i am really anticipating it's release. Hopefully i can pick it up some time in 2013

I could see Battlefield making it noticeably different from SND in call of duty. Hopefully these new game-mods are just as good as the old ones

If CoD copies ANYTHING from Battlefield.(Even though BF probaly got it from another game.) You all go crazy on the article saying "Lololol BF already had this, CoD sucks BF ftw." Now it's the other way around and everything's okay lmao.


But Battlefield will never have a community like COD


Your right BF will more than likely have a more mature and respectful community than the CoD community, the CoD community is made up of people who go on twitter and send death threats to the developers and people who hate the game but play it for no reason

The BF community is just as immature as the CoD community. Go on any Call of Duty youtube video and you will see a Battlefield fanboy on there saying "Lol this sucks, only gay people would buy this, Battlefield ftw!!!!" The BF community isn't respectful at all.


That's is mostly the ex cod players doing that. Go on battlelog or any other BF forum and start **** talking COD and more then half the people on there will tell you to **** off and grow up. There was even a thread on battlelog last night that was praising COD4 for what it did to FPS on consoles.


Stop arguing both games entertain people and that's all that matters ;p
