Xbox One release date announcement 'today', UK retailers claim

The Xbox One release date will be announced today, according to a pair of UK retailers.

Both GAME's London Xbox store and UK retailer ShopTo have tweeted that an announcement regarding Microsoft's console launch plans will arrive imminently.

GAME Boxpark tweeted: "BREAKING NEWS: Keep your eyes peeled for the worldwide announcement of #XboxOne launch date later today!"

Shortly after, ShopTo posted: "Could we hear news regarding the Xbox One today? Watch this space ;)"

Microsoft has so far only officially confirmed Xbox One's launch for 'November'. Sony has confirmed a US PS4 release date of November 15 and an EU launch of November 29.

The latest in an onslaught of Xbox One release date rumours heavily suggested a November 8 launch.

The Xbox One will launch in 13 markets this year, with eight including Russia and Sweden delayed to a 2014 release.

Microsoft was unavailable for comment at the time of publishing.

570 I am not getting either of the new consoles, they are way to expensive for what they are advertising.


I don't really find $400-$500 too expensive for a console, i personally though that it will be higher in price.

lel I haven't had time for gaming at all much recently, except for a few games here and there on my pc, so I don't think I'm going to get a next gen console...


I am not getting one as for $500 I can get a good gaming PC and that will serve me better that a console, so I don't see myself getting one either.

It really did take them a while to announce the release date, it's good to see that they have finally went ahead and done it though

Meh, won't be getting until around February, but I really dont mind to be honest, too expensive to get straight away tbh, may not even get, I lce my pc :D
