PS Vita 2000 is currently for Japan only says Sony

Sony has confirmed that for the time being, the newly-announced PS Vita 2000 model will be a Japan-only release.


The lighter model comes with an LCD screen, rather than an OLED display. We reported on the console’s reveal and details here.

Now, a Sony spokesperson has told IGN that while the company is, “considering every opportunity”, for the PS Vita 2000, it, has “nothing to announce for the [Sony Computer Entertainment America] territory.”

It seems a Western release is unlikely for the time being, but would you like to see it happen? Let us know below.

I agree I think they wasted their time with this console


I will wait to see if it comes bundled with the PS4 then I will get it but not before then the features are great but I would not go out and buy it with the PS4 coming out soon.


They bundled it because the claim it's apart of the experience but I think it's just to sell some Vitas.

Frog Japan is where the most sales will be made, I hardly ever hear in mentioned in Europe, nor on TTG...

Sales for the PSVITA are still pretty reasonable in most areas. Japan is on a completely different level though.
