Battlefield 4 will go into open beta on October 1

Battlefield 4 will go into open beta on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 starting October 1, Peter Moore announced on EA’s blog. Announced back in August during gamescom, at the time the beta was to be offered to those who pre-ordered three days ahead of the general public. Therefore, we’re unsure if the October 1 date is for early access or the public date at this point. We’ll send a mail, but since it is Saturday, don’t expect any clarification until Monday. Battlefield 4 will be available October 29 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will also be made available for PS4 and Xbox One as a launch title.

Well COD 4 and WAW had a beta and still sold millions of copies, i guess it's because people these days criticize games way too much.

Because they don't care... Beta's are about fixing problems with something before it's released. CoD could care less about that. They'll fix it after they your money.


Cod doesn't usually get " fixed" until the next game comes out. Example, I wasn't too fond of BO1( even though I got why it was one of the better cods, it just wasn't for me). Once I saw how bad Mw3 was, I came back and loved BO1. Activision will take all of your money first, then fix the problems. That's that cod logic on full display.

Because they don't want to fix their broken game. Let them add tree textures over time, not right away....

I probably won't play it that much though because that's when GTA online comes out too.
