PSN maintenance planned for September 25

Sony has announced plans to execute scheduled maintenance on the US PlayStation Network on September 25.

The maintenance is scheduled for a six-hour slot from 10:15pm to 4:15pm Pacific Time (1:15pm to 7:15pm Eastern).

"If you've signed onto PSN over the past few days, you'll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable," explains Sony.

"Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window," it adds.

Sony has confirmed this week's US PlayStation Plus update, which sees the addition of Rayman Origins to the Instant Game Collection.

I agree with you, but with PSN its some miscellaneous things are down. Also there is a reason why people pay a lot to get XBL. And that helps get better servers.


I am not saying PSN is better. Just saying the guys statement is wrong....

I hate how Xbox live goes down unexpectedly.
All you hypocritical kids. It's not like any service can prevent an unexpected downtime. ANY service in the world for that matter. I don't see you mentioning the fact that the Playstation service went COMPLETELY OFFLINE for 2-3 months. Like I said, no service can prevent it.


Xbox doesn't go out much, and when it does, Microsoft, tries there best to fix it. And, yeah, when Playstation Network has to go down, Sony tells there players about it. Stop arguing, and just get on with your day!!!

Yh it doesn't go down for maintenace, Microsoft jsut let it break and then it goes down for a day or two at a time where only a few people can sign in. Don't tell me some crap that this never happens because it happens every 5 months or so at least.


It never goes down for that long. Microsoft doesn't need to put down XBL to do maintenance, they can do it behind the scenes, Microsoft is dominant is this sort of stuff, Sony is a hardware company.
