Battlefield 4 weapon customisation and adaptive camo discussed by DICE

4.6
Battlefield 4 developer DICE has shed new light on the extend of the shooter’s gun customisation, as well as adaptive camo that reacts to whatever environment you’re playing in. Sounds a bit ‘MGS 4′ doesn’t it?

The clip below sees lead core game designer Alan Kert discussing gun customisation with presenter of EA’s FTW show Matt Cuttle.

Kert shows off the game’s load-out menus as he tinkers about with a range of stocks, camo designs and more. It seems the series has expanded considerably in how players can personalise their gun of choice.

What do you think?

Battlefield 4 comes to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 29 in North America, then November 1 in Europe. It’s out November 15 on the PlayStation 4 and November 22 on the Xbox One in the States.

coDyDaTallGuy I like how the guy says "you empty the clip" when in reality there isn't a single gun in that game that uses a clip(or any modern shooter for that matter). I'm not going to try and start a gun debate here so i'll just stop it there lol.

Not disagreeing, but curious, can you explain what you mean? Not as familiar with guns as you seem to be.

Ever play a World War 2 game? The bundle of bullets you shove into an M1 Garand is a clip.

Ahh I see I didn't realise what you where getting at until now I think but I will give it a shot anyways basically take the AN-94 for example from Black Ops 2 When you shoot one bullet and reload your reloading a magazine not a clip is this what you are trying to explain ? and the M1 Garand does have a clip I know the sniper rifles have clips but not SMG's Assault Rifles etc ?

Modern sniper rifles don't uses clips either my friend. refer yourself to my previous comment :)

Yes, the M1 Garand uses a box clip. But to answer upusers question, a "clip" and a "magazine" are two completely different things. there are quite a few types of clips but the most common type is called a "stripper clip." A stripper clip holds several bullets together in a single unit for easier loading of a firearm's magazine. Once you load the ammo into the internal magazine, you throw the strip away. a "magazine" is an external feeding device that you load into the firearm. Once you use all of the ammo in the magazine you take the magazine out and then you can reload it. A magazine (depending on what you get)can hold a good amount of ammo, where a clip can hold a very small amount. People mix these up and say clip when in reality it's a magazine. If you want to know what type of fire arms use magazines and clips then you can probably look it up. modern rifles, and pistols all use magazines. I hope this cleared up any confusion you have dealing with firearms :)
