Xbox Live Gold will be free this weekend, October 4-6 in many, many regions. Full list is below.

Regions include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

It will be a free weekend in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico October 11-14 and in Japan November 7-10.

Texans I really don't understand these free weekends, most people I know always have gold.

Its for people to get a go at playing on gold when they have no membership, I am guessing they made it October the 4th because BF4 Beta is out for everyone on that date.
