Call of Duty: Ghosts PC install is 50GB

4.4
Call of Duty: Ghosts will take up a whopping 50GB of drive space when installed on your PC, blocking installation of other games by the sheer weight of its many assets.

For comparison purposes, BioShock Infinite takes up 20GB minimum with 30GB recommended, Saints Row 4 is 10GB, and Battlefield 4 wants 30GB.

The hefty install size was revealed in the shooter’s PC requirements, which also include a surprisingly high-end minimum GPU. Here’s the full spec list, courtesy of Nvidia:

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
RAM: 6 GB RAM
HDD: 50 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
DirectX: 11
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

No word yet on how large the download will be for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions, but it’s likely to be in the same ballpark. Ghosts is also coming to Wii U. Current-gen versions arrive on November 5, with next-gen versions due when the hardware launches later in the month.

Wow that's a lot of hours for such an old game.

Times are changing. Lets just look at the first for Tomb Raider for instance. The first game that popped in to my head that i installed back in the good old days.

Wow this must be a huge game

Not really a PC gamer but that does sound like a ton of space needed.

If you download it via steam, It's not really that much. As steam usually has two separate downloads for both the Singleplayer and Multiplayer. But eh, I'm still not getting it.

daRealRush 50GB of Space! How is it 50GB of Space, it is a very small game. It has very few guns, along with very small maps! How is it, 50GB of space?

How do you know the maps are small and it doesnt have a lot of guns? Do you actually understand ANY game development/computer science theory?

Actually he's right, and your wrong. Stop trying to sound smart as there is no "theory." I know the reason its 50GB's, but I'm not going to say it just so you can pretend to know what your talking about. Find out, then come back to talk bro.

I have reason to suspect that all DLC is preloaded and you pay to 'unlock' it. Because, truly. There is no reason for it to be 50 gigs unless they did some major optimization for PC. Which if that is the case, bravo. But I highly doubt it.
