Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season

Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season, at least according to UK chain John Lewis’ head tech buyer Jonathan Marsh.

Speaking with Trusted Reviews, Marsh said Xbox One has the edge due to its game line-up and Xbox Live service.

“We are expecting more interest in the Xbox One,” Marsh said. “We are stocking both the PS4 and the Xbox One but if we were to back one, we are thinking that Xbox One will appeal a bit more to our customers in terms of the experience it creates.”

Marsh said he feel the console will appeal more to the chain’s consumer base, and is also basing his opinion on what the firm has “experienced in the past” with Microsoft consoles.

Precarious The Xbox One is a good console but it's not better than the PS4. A couple of my friends used to only game on the 360 and I would only game on the PS3 even though we all had both. Now my friends say that they can longer trust a company that keeps changing it's mind. They also are not willing to buy both systems and the $400 price tag appeals to them more. I expect the same from others but not all. Fanboys will be fanboys in the end.


They kept 'changing their minds' because everyone ***** and moaned at all the DRM stuff, so they changed it. I wouldn't look at it as them changing their minds, but more of listening to their consumers.


They still changed their policies too many times in such a short period, they should of done more/better research before they announced everything. The PS4 was originally going to be bundled with the Eye and they did their research and realized what a bad idea it was

Oasis Tbh, I don't recommend buying anything from JL, it's overpriced.

Also...how funny would it be if this holiday season the big seller isn't either console but instead the Nintendo 2DS! :D What a comeback that would be.

I keep hoping that one day there will be a perfect world, where all the Playstation fanboys stay in their forums, and don't cry when the Xbox One outsells the PS4 and say "Oh my God this has never happened before. **** Microsoft, all those hundred of thousands of people were obviously paid to buy their consoles." No. It can be a legit thing. **** off of the Xbox forums, and go to the Playstation forums.
