Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season

Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season, at least according to UK chain John Lewis’ head tech buyer Jonathan Marsh.

Speaking with Trusted Reviews, Marsh said Xbox One has the edge due to its game line-up and Xbox Live service.

“We are expecting more interest in the Xbox One,” Marsh said. “We are stocking both the PS4 and the Xbox One but if we were to back one, we are thinking that Xbox One will appeal a bit more to our customers in terms of the experience it creates.”

Marsh said he feel the console will appeal more to the chain’s consumer base, and is also basing his opinion on what the firm has “experienced in the past” with Microsoft consoles.

The only reason(and I believe this to be very true) Xbox is going to be more popular is because the little kids that grew up on a 360 playing viva piata and minecraft probably never picked up a PS1 or PS2 controller in their life. The people buying PS4s, a lot of them are kids who see they can pick up Battlefront 2 and play with friends. Or any of the FFs, or Need for Speed, Crash.. You get the point. And if you're some kid who's gonna try to troll me, please don't if any of those games are unfamiliar to you, you probably grew up on an Xbox.

Btw I am stoked for Kingdom Hearts 3!

If you look at the amount of games ps+ has given away compared to the 360 it's a joke

you also have to realize the philosophy behind sony giving away all those games. they are truly just trying to buy ppl into getting their ps4. they realized a vast majority of ppl preferred xbox or playstation so they had to do something. and an easy way is to give stuff away. this way ppl believe that they will continue this on ps4. but obviously that wont happen.

Also...how funny would it be if this holiday season the big seller isn't either console but instead the Nintendo 2DS! :D What a comeback that would be.

They just come out of nowhere with that and pokemon hahaha

I'm already thinking of trading in my 3DS for a 2DS, and Pokemon of course.

I don't know the difference between the two, but that sounds like a downgrade

Actually, PS3 made a comeback, and outsold the Xbox 360. It's also worth noting, that the PS2, was the worlds most sold console. Just Saying!

I plan on buying an Xbone. That being said, I still think it is unlikely Xbone will outsell Ps4. Just don't see that happening. MS will sell a lot of consoles, but I believe Sony will sell more. Only if they literally sell out will this be hampered. So whoever has the most consoles in the marketplace will be the winner, if that is the case.

MS or in fact the NSA cannot legally record you without your consent, its a breach of your human rights & they have to clearly state if you want to opt in.

So if your so paranoid, read through there TOS, when its available. To see if by agreeing to it & using this console, you agree that MS can view you & record your movements.
