Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season

Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season, at least according to UK chain John Lewis’ head tech buyer Jonathan Marsh.

Speaking with Trusted Reviews, Marsh said Xbox One has the edge due to its game line-up and Xbox Live service.

“We are expecting more interest in the Xbox One,” Marsh said. “We are stocking both the PS4 and the Xbox One but if we were to back one, we are thinking that Xbox One will appeal a bit more to our customers in terms of the experience it creates.”

Marsh said he feel the console will appeal more to the chain’s consumer base, and is also basing his opinion on what the firm has “experienced in the past” with Microsoft consoles.

Echleon more of the younger call of duty crowd will buy xbox one. the ps4 will outsell the x1 later on down the line but i dont think it will first day and im getting the PS4

Well new kettle of fish, Sony have actually improved their faults and Microsoft so far have made slip ups all over the place letting the competition back in.

Still it will be interesting to see how it pans out and obviously with a 50/50 chance half of the people will be saying I told you so.

PawnStars That's debatable, the only two exclusives they've had that were real game changers imo were run into the ground (Halo and Gears) I've had xbox live for 9 years so you are not going to tell me anything I don't already know when it comes to that

Who's to say what exclusives will be better for the next-gen but I am more excited for the the exclusive content that Sony is getting (including the contract they signed with Bungie)

That's in your opinion others may have different opinions. Including me, I think there are some PS4 exclusives that had potential I am quoting a PS3 exclusive here for instance The Last of Us was a big hit so if your saying sony don't have any blockbuster games you are wrong.

How did you gather that he listened to my opinion? Have you not read anything he's posted? No your right though, listing a bunch of exclusives that he hasn't even played and then saying "There's no potential PS4 blockbusters..." when he probably doesn't know any of them is a real mature thing that anyone over the age of 13 would do... my bad for being soooo "foolish"
