Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season

Xbox One is expected to outsell PlayStation 4 this holiday season, at least according to UK chain John Lewis’ head tech buyer Jonathan Marsh.

Speaking with Trusted Reviews, Marsh said Xbox One has the edge due to its game line-up and Xbox Live service.

“We are expecting more interest in the Xbox One,” Marsh said. “We are stocking both the PS4 and the Xbox One but if we were to back one, we are thinking that Xbox One will appeal a bit more to our customers in terms of the experience it creates.”

Marsh said he feel the console will appeal more to the chain’s consumer base, and is also basing his opinion on what the firm has “experienced in the past” with Microsoft consoles.

Hmm very interesting honestly i have to agree though and not because one is better then the other but just cuz i think the xbox one is marketed more and better.

Actually the PS3 outsold the 360, 360 is better imo though

It's funny how you mention that yet Wii still holds over 360 and PS3 in unit numbers sold. That said though, the 360 did outsell the PS3 but barely (less than a mil units).
OT: Kids will ask for the console they couldn't get during November. Parents will acknowledge that and buy the console of choice for their child. Parents will see the xbox as a multi-functioning box with little interest in investigating the uproars of backlash it's received the past half year. Anyone that does a little research will figure to not trust a company that originally promotes an all seeing and scanning camera while partnering with the NSA.
