PlayStation 4 features and UI shown off in leaked video

A video revealing the features and UI of the PlayStation 4 console from Sony has been uploaded to YouTube and was posted to our forums by Audioboxer.

The leaked video which has been recorded in French comes with commentary from the uploader where he outlines features such as Trophies, PSN Store, Profiles, Messages, Friends list, etc.

Sony announced the PlayStation 4 back in February, but has been revealing its features in parts over the past few months. The initial launch just showed off the DualShock 4 controller while the design of the console was revealed in June. PlayStation 4 will arrive in stores during the Holiday season and will go head to head with Microsoft's Xbox One in the next-gen console wars.

The PlayStation 4 launches in the US on November 15 and in Europe on November 29.

hmmm still like xbox's dashboard better

-Mark I've always like the UI of the Xbox better than playstation.

I will admit the PS4 consoles is much more appealing visually than the Xbox One.

Looks like a big improvement. Not a huge fan of the horizontal and vertical icon layout but still looks good.

does nobody care to mention that the xbox 360, xbone, windows 8, and windows phone menu's all look the exact same?
this shouldn't matter anyway, it's the games that should


The thing is, the PS3's menu sucked. The Xbox's are going to have the same menu that look nice and is easy to use. I do agree that the games are what should matter but the UI should be something somewhat new and fresh, not the same old recycled garbage.
