GTA Online 'Stimulus Package' deployment delayed

Ongoing bugs prevent free in-game cash distribution until next week

Rockstar has delayed plans to distribute the first half of the $500,000 of in-game cash promised to GTA Online players this week.

The so-called 'Stimulus Package' was promised to users as compensation for the issues that have plagued the online game since its launch on October 1.

The firm had previously announced plans to distribute $250,000 in game cash to players this week (ending Friday, October 25), but this has been delayed owing to ongoing bugs still plaguing the multiplayer mode.

"We of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone," said Rockstar in a statement today.

"We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash," it added.

another delay thats new they put all their effort into the online and still fell short should have put it into story mode instead

-Mark They were very unprepared for the online portion of GTA V. There have been so many issues and it isn't even a full product yet.

They have yet to release big parts of the Online experience and by the time they are released everyone will either have a new consoles or will be playing Ghosts or Battlefield.

In my opinion, Rockstar really messed up with multiplayer for GTA V.


They were very unprepared, so many things went wrong in the first few weeks of the online experience and some of it still isn't fixed. I'm still glad though that the online was released, even though I've had quite a few poor experiences with it, the good times almost make up for it.

It's only 500K, besides you could only buy a nice car and mabey an apartment with that money.


It's really one or the other, you won't be able to get both unless you buy the ones that are cheap. I don't see the 500k affecting anyone really, by now most people have most of the stuff they want, if they played the game quite a bit.

LOL ghost is just the same thing as every other COD game out. All they do is put new guns and new maps. Thats it GTA 5 is better than ghost
