GTA Online 'Stimulus Package' deployment delayed

Ongoing bugs prevent free in-game cash distribution until next week

Rockstar has delayed plans to distribute the first half of the $500,000 of in-game cash promised to GTA Online players this week.

The so-called 'Stimulus Package' was promised to users as compensation for the issues that have plagued the online game since its launch on October 1.

The firm had previously announced plans to distribute $250,000 in game cash to players this week (ending Friday, October 25), but this has been delayed owing to ongoing bugs still plaguing the multiplayer mode.

"We of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone," said Rockstar in a statement today.

"We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash," it added.

III_XBOI_III Gta V has just been a complete fail. The only thing you can do is missions, race, out stare at your friend's garage for 8 hours. I'm tired of waiting on this game to get good. This game was supposed to come out in the spring, then you had wait 5 months to release, then you had wait 2 weeks for the online to come out. Then you had to wait a week for the online to work for the majority of you and your friend's. The same bugs are STILL HERE. Now you have to wait for the most talked about feature to be added. I'm sorry but Rockstar has completely dropped the ball.

I kind of agree though. The most highly anticipated game of the year, just wasn't up to standards. Don't get me wrong, it is a good game, just not the best.

I really wish they added the feature to turn off cops in private sessions, they really make me mad when you do nothing and get a cop on you, or a cop is chasing down a civilian and crashes right into you for no reason and you get a star.

Shen Huge games have bugs, when will people realize no company can make a completely flawless game. Except for Bungie.


Even Halo had bugs...

I agree that no large scale games, even small games have bugs, but the game was in development for almost 5 years. They really should of tested the multiplayer better before releasing it to the public.

Cyimking I lost interest in GTA V. Like what is the point of playing? They give you the same missions so you can't really make money. By time we get the money we will have all the stuff we wanted. By time they add the heist, the new consoles are going to be out.


What is the point of playing? It's the people like you that ruin GTA Online. That's why I liked GTA 4 online better. On GTA 5 all people care about is getting money. There's people that sit ALL day replaying the same mission. GTA 4 people just did whatever and had fun. Now people are afraid to die because they lose $2000. Adding money ruined online and took the fun out of it.


So how is it people like him that ruin the game if it was Rockstar that added the money? You make no sense. If you like Gta4 better than 5, then what is the point of playing? Way to contradict yourself. Rockstar based the online off making money and playing like you did in Gta4 gets you labeled as a bad sport. So if course people will just want to make money, because doing anything else "fun" is considered bad by Rockstar. GENIUS.

Alone We're lucky we're even getting this money, they could've easily not gaven us anything, so if you're moaning about it being delayed, stop.


LMFAO, You do know they **** up really bad on the online part. If they didn't give us any money, a lot of people would quit this game. Also, we are not lucky they needed to do a good publicity stunt so players will stick around. By saying they will give 500k to players.
