Minecraft 360 dev working with MS to port save files to Xbox One

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition developer 4J Studios is working with Microsoft to port save files for the game from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One. The developer tweeted as much today, noting that it "can't say it'll be there" until it works perfectly.

Microsoft first announced during its E3 press event in June that the hit block-busting, sandbox-style construction game will come to its next-generation console. No launch date has been confirmed for either of the PS4 or Xbox One versions of Minecraft, though the developer said this week that it plans to bring the PS3 version of the game out first.

They wouldn't need to.
The PS4 will be released way before MC is available to PS.

I'm sure this let out a couple of sighs of relief to the players that only play this game.
Spending hours building their towns and castles.

But then it might of been good to start all over because of people who hacked it and made big buildings and stuff :/


You cannot hack in minecraft.
That shows you haven't even played it before.....

KAQ Hopefully it will be out on all consoles soon :) they should make a seqeul to it but base it around roleplay :) i would love that because everyone loves playing roleplay


Minecraft is not a RPG game and shouldn't be treated as such.

If this happens it will be good but I don't think it will because you still have to rebut the game on the Xbox One.

Looking forward to this :D also hoping if you move a gamesave over and play it, there will still be some unexplored space if there are bigger maps!

I would also like to move my saves over from console to console, it would be much more convenient than starting all over again

-Mark This would make a ton of people happy if they found a way to do this. I know people who have spent hours on their minecraft world and it would be a shame if they lost them when upgrading to the Xbox One.


Games need more importing save files to other games/consoles!
