CoD: Ghosts high-res texture pack takes up to 30 minutes to download

The high-res texture pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation 4 will take around 10-15 minutes to install, Infinity Ward has said. It can take up to 30 minutes though, if you’re playing while it’s still installing in the background. “Unfortunately, there’s no way to see the progress of when it’s complete,” said the developer. “Once complete, you’ll see the high-res textures in-game.” Infinity Ward announced earlier this week the day-one patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts brings the single-player campaign up from 720p to 1080p.

J-E-T-S This is probably the stupidest article I have ever read. In stead of saying "oh it takes 30 mins to download" why don't they give you the file size. Clearly it is going to vary based on your internet speed. If you have fios chances are it will download faster as to if you have dialup.


I think "download" was the wrong word to use. I believe they mean install off of a disk, in which case internet speeds don't matter. So while you're not playing, it'll take 10-15 minutes to install, but when you are playing, using some of the processing power, it will take up to 30 minutes.
